GENERAL INFO

The curriculum consists of 19 graduate course credits plus an Exit Examination.

PREREQUISITES

All prerequisites (or equivalents) should be completed BEFORE commencing the certificate program.

1. Ph.D. Degree: In Physics or related science
2. Mathematics: At least three semesters of calculus and elementary differential equations.
3. Physics:Â Bachelor's degree in Physics, or Bachelor's degree in an appropriate science or engineering that includes at least three additional upper-level physics courses (e.g., electricity and magnetism, classical mechanics, modern physics, quantum mechanics, atomic and nuclear physics, thermodynamics, etc.)

ROC 5010 Introduction to Radiological Physics (4 credits) ROC 7000 Imaging Physics I (4 credits) ROC 7020 Physics of Radiation Therapy (3 credits) ROC 7040 Radiation Dosimetry (2 credits) ROC 7060 Applied Radiobiology (2 credits) ROC 7070 Radiation Safety  (2 credits) ROC 7150 Radiation Oncology Anatomy  (2 credits)

EXIT EXAM

All certificate program students are required to pass an Exit Examination before being allowed to graduate. Guidelines for preparation for this exam are available from the Program Director. Students should register for the Exit Exam with the Program Director at the beginning of the Semester in which they plan to graduate.Â
