The purpose of this activity is to provide NPs and PAs with instruction designed to enhance clinical practice and improve patient outcomes.
Overall Educational Objectives
The goals of this educational activity are to:
- Increase awareness of the value of advanced practice professionals in the patient-focused, team-based model of care
- Inform NPs and PAs of recent revisions to professional standards of practice (eg, ICD-10 coding, DSM-5 guidelines)
- Provide NPs and PAs with clinical training necessary to resolve issues in the complex setting of underserved and vulnerable populations
- Improve the clinical skills, knowledge, and competence of NPs and PAs in primary care
